- Stand Mixer or Mixing Bowl

Grocery List:
- 1 – stick room temperature butter (½ cup or 8 TBPS)
- 1 – room temperature egg
- 1 – cup dark brown sugar
- ½ – cup 100% pure maple syrup
- 2½ – cup all purpose flour
- 1 – tsp baking soda
- ½ – tsp nutmeg
- ½ – tsp cinnamon
- ½ – salt
- ½ – cup chopped pecans (optional)
- ½ – cup white chocolate morsels (optional)
Recipe:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- In a stand mixer or mixing bowl, combine the butter, egg, brown sugar, and maple syrup and mix until thoroughly combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt and stir briefly to combine.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the stand mixture.
- Optionally, add mix-ins like pecans or white chocolate chips.
- Scoop ~2 tsp dollops onto a baking sheet and bake for 8 minutes. Remove from the oven when the edges start to brown.
- Serve warm with milk.
Notes:
- The dough chills well and keeps in the fridge for a few days.
