Cookware Needed:
- mixing bowl
- 8 x 8″ square pan or 9″ round pan
Grocery List:
- 1½ – sticks of melted butter
- 1½ – cups light brown sugar
- 1½ – cups flour
- 1 – large egg room temperature
- 1 – large egg yolk at room temperature
- 1 – tsp salt
- ¼ – tsp baking soda
- 1 – tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ – cups semi-sweet morsels
Recipe:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Combine the butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl and stir.
- Add the flour, salt, and baking soda to a small bowl and stir, then add to the sugar mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips or any other favorite mix-ins, then transfer to a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes; it’s okay if the center is still wiggly when you pull it out of the oven.
Notes:
- Try adding nuts, white chocolate chips, or dried fruit as mix-ins
- I remove these from the oven when the edges are turning brown, but cook up to 35 minutes for crispy blondies.
